Welcome to the 2nd LI2Day E-newsletter! This is an exciting milestone for us as we are quickly approaching our 5th Annual Walk. Walker recruitment is now underway so everyone please help us spread the word. Brochures and posters are available for anyone wishing to distribute them. I am happy to say that the first training walk of the season will be held Sunday, January 27th at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove following a kick-off breakfast hosted by California Pizza Kitchen. If you have recently registered as a walker and would like to participate in the Kick-Off Breakfast and 1st Training Walk please email Mary Frey as soon as possible. If you would like to promote your fundraising event or recruitment meeting please email the details to LI2DAY Electronic Media Department.
On a personal note, I would like to extend my gratitude for all your kind words and support with the passing of my mother. Stephanie and I along with our family are pleased to announce the establishment of The Maria A. Sciara Scholarship Fund in honor of our loving mother. This fund is dedicated to helping students who aspire to be teachers but might be denied that dream because of the devastating effect a mother's cancer has on a family.
I truly believe that together we can make a difference in so many lives.
Best Regards,
Ginny Salerno

Spread The Word
Promoting the LI2Day Breast Cancer Walk relies greatly on those that have experienced it first-hand. It is the reason "Why" you do the Walk that resonates with so many Long Islanders. LI2DAY can proudly say that 100% of the funds raised by our participants are donated for the Long Island community so, "What's Raised Here Stays Here"! LI2DAY is calling upon all our loyal participants to diligently spread the word within your community about the 5th Annual LI2Day Breast Cancer Walk and all the wonderful things we have been able to accomplish in cooperation with our beneficiary organizations. We have plenty of resources to help you get the word out. Click for registration brochures, sponsorship brochures, and walk flyers/posters. $1.4 Million in four years! We have so much to be proud of as we reach our 5-year milestone. Together we can make a difference!

Corporate Teams - A Step In The Right Direction

Together with their employees, businesses can take part in the LI2Day Experience. The 35-mile - 2 day walk is a great way for businesses to tout their community spirit. How do you get started? It's easy. Each business needs to recruit a team of 10 individuals and raise a total of $10,000. LI2DAY will provide you with brochures and posters to help promote the walk within your facility. Besides having the satisfaction of knowing that your business is contributing to a worth-while cause, your company will receive logo/name recognition in pre- and post-event media campaigns, advertising, promotional materials, LI2Day's Journal, Website, and on Volunteer shirts. In addition, your business will receive prominent placement of corporate signage for the duration of the walk weekend and the opportunity to showcase your product or service at the Walk. Contact li2daysponsorship@yahoo.com for more information or to setup a Corporate Team Partnership. | |
