Where does the money go?

Our 2009 Beneficiary Organizations - Full beneficiary organizations recieved checks for $20,000 each!

Below you will find a list of the 2010 Beneficiary Organizations that we will be supporting with funds raised from our 7th Annual Walk on June 5-6, 2010. These organizations provide direct assistance to Long Islander's affected by breast cancer. In 2009, the Long Island 2 Day Walk To Fight Breast Cancer raised over $390,000 bringing our 6 year total to nearly $2.5 Million!

In keeping with our mission statement, careful consideration will be given to all applicants. However, consistent with our corporate charter and by-laws, inclusion as a beneficiary of the Walk is solely at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

2010 Special Grant Program:

A special grant will be awarded this year to the following Beneficiary Organization. This grant will support the efforts of this organization to benefit Long Islander's affected by breast cancer.

• WALK for Women's Breast Cancer Fund

LI2DAY Scholarship Division:

In 2009, the following scholarship received funding in the amount of $15,000:
This brings the 5 year total to $75,000 in local scholarships awarded.

• The Long Island 2 Day Walk To Fight Breast Cancer Scholarship Fund
  (6 Scholarships of $2,500 each are awarded annually.)
